Harlan H. "Slim" Holmes The funeral for Harlan H. "Slim" Holmes, 77, Salina, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mr. Holmes died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993, at Springfield, Mo. He was born April 23, 1915, at Culver and was a resident of Salina since 1951, moving from Culver. He was a machinist for Roberts Manufacturing, Salina for 26 years. Survivors include his wife, Sarah of the home; a son, Max of Salina; three daughters, Mary Rein and Katherine "Kate" Harris, both of Salina, and Helen Bales of Kimberling City, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Stokes and Marjorie Holmes, both of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel. The Roselawn Mortuary, 1307 S. Santa Fe, Salina, 67401, is in charge of arrangements. |
